11.00 a.m.    Rev. Tony Malcolm - Memorial Service. (You may bring a small bouquet of white flowers to lay at the altar in memory of your loved ones.)

No Evening Service.

Everyone is invited to stay after each morning service for coffee/tea and biscuits in the foyer.

that love is the fulfilling of the law.

ROAD CLOSURE   Road resurfacing will take place at Bristol Road South/Lickey Road roundabout on Tuesday, 30th October and Wednesday, 31st October from 7.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. each day. Diversions will be in place.

MEMORIAL SERVICE   Forms for names to be read out at the Memorial Service next Sunday, 4th November at 11.00 a.m. are available from the trolley. Also there are a few of Rev. Sibanda'a letters with forms, on the trolley - please take one if you wish to send/give one to someone.

ALL WE CAN (Methodist Relief & Development)    Shanu, a farmer in Malawi has a small patch of land from which to support his wife and three children. When the crops run out, the family goes hungry. Irregular rains and widespread drought caused by climate change have reduced his crop yield. His son can't go to school because he is hungry.

All We Can is working with a local community group to help Shanu and other farmers to use water more effectively. It assists with seeds and fertilisers and teaches better marketing of produce.

Envelopes are on the chairs. Please give generously.

WEDNESDAY, 31st OCTOBER   7.30 p.m. House Group at Anthony & Hazel's home led by Anthony. Our final study on what the Bible says about power.

THURSDAY, 1st NOVEMBER   7.30 p.m. Resources Group meeting (re-arranged from 29th October).

TUESDAY, 6th NOVEMBER   7.30 p.m. Reflections to meet at Martin & Jennie's home.

SATURDAY, 10th NOVEMBER   God's Heart for Longbridge Remembrance event in Longbridge Town Centre - 10 a.m. to 12 noon (poppy painting) with a short service at 10.45 a.m.

SATURDAY, 10th NOVEMBER    Afternoon - Circuit youth event at the church.

LONGBRIDGE COMMUNITY CHOIR   After the success of our Anniversary Concert, we will again be gathering together a massed group of singers from this church and from the local community to perform a concert of Christmas music of all types from traditional carols to popular songs. It will take place on Saturday, 15th December at 2.30 p.m.

The choir is open to everyone regardless of experience or ability. There is no audition and no need to read music - just love to sing! Simply turn up for rehearsals on Sundays 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. in church starting on 11th November. If there are any questions or problems, please see David or ring him on 07795903049.

TUESDAY, 13th NOVEMBER   7.30 p.m. Church Council Meeting. All are welcome. Your representatives on the Church Council are:­ Barry Jones, Ronald Dove, Alyson Johnson, Elisabeth Osborn, Anthony Atwell, Simon Walsh. Please speak to one of these representatives if you want any matters taken to the meeting.

JUNIOR MISSION FOR ALL (JMA)   The JMA presentations will take place on Sunday, 18th November.

There will be a JMA sale on Sunday, 2nd December after the morning service. Janet Sly would be pleased to receive unwanted gifts for this sale. Thanking you.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES FOR CHILDREN IN POVERTY   Samaritan's Purse is a charity which encourages us to make up shoeboxes of gifts and essentials for children at Christmas around the world. If you would like to contribute, please take a leaflet from the foyer, which describes the scheme and how to put a shoebox together. Boxes will be blessed on Sunday, 18th November so please donate your boxes by this date. Please see Hazel for more details.

‘FRESH FROM THE WORD' - daily Bible reading notes for 2019 from the International Bible Reading Association, which has been reaching people across the globe for 136 years. Please see the poster in the foyer for further details and Elisabeth Osborn if you wish to place an order. 'Fresh from the Word' contains Bible verses, notes, prayers and action points and it offers a fresh approach to daily Bible reading for all the year. It is written to support all readers of the Bible, from new Christians to those seeking to deepen their faith and relationship with God. Books will be ordered for those people who had one this year, unless cancellation is requested.

1000 LETTERS   The Methodist Children and Youth Assembly - 3 Generate takes place in November. Around 1,000 children and youth are attending and the theme is "Courageous". Can you write a letter of encouragement to those attending 3 Generate? A letter to help them to be courageous in their faith from one generation to another.
