As you may be aware, Rev Cleopas Sibanda is on Sabbatical until the end of August so there will be no letter from him until he is back from his Sabbatical. If you would like to write a message of encouragement to the congregation for our newsletter during this period, please send it to me and I will include it in the newsletter.
We celebrated our Church Anniversary last Sunday with a service led by Rev Nick Jones. It was nice to welcome Nick back to lead worship at Longbridge and he gave a very inspiring message highlighting our relationship with our surrounding community. The service was followed by a BBQ in the car park to which we were able to welcome members of the community. A good time was had by all enjoying the food, drinks, music and good company. This was in the true spirit of ‘Church Without Walls’ and we hope that more such events will bring us closer to our local community. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make it a successful celebration.
GIFT DAY – Letters and envelopes are available on the trolley inviting you to make a special gift to the work of our church.
FOOD BANK AT COTTERIDGE – The basket for donated packets and tins is now kept at the back of the church.
CHURCH BROCHURES – Our new brochures are in the course of preparation, so look out for them in August.
FOYER ROOF – The repair works are planned to take place in early August.
NEW CHAIR EXERCISE GROUP
